Holiday to celebrate: It’s a toss up between Thanksgiving and Mother’s Day—love spoiling my Mom more than anything.

Five places one must visit in your hood:
• The Santa Barbara rose gardens at the Mission—seen here. On a hot Summer night we’ll meet friends there for a picnic, open a bottle of wine and play a game of bocce.
• Cold Spring Tavern. Hands down one of the coolest spots. It’s an old stagecoach stop from the 1860′s that’s now a restaurant. If you go on a Sunday they have live music and tri-tip sandwiches.
• Hammonds Beach in Montecito.
• Alchemy Arts Center. A local spa and health center that instantly makes you feel renewed the second you walk in the door. And they have a cafe that I’m currently a regular at.
• Plow & Angel restaurant at the San Ysidro Ranch. Incredibly charming and romantic.
