The Fall 2011 Collection is inspired by the colors and feel of the Tuscan countryside. I had the great fortune of living in Tuscany for three years for work. Those years offered me ample time to explore all of the incredible landscapes, food, wine, style and Italian charm. It was a luxury to allow myself to daydream about those wonderful days in Italy, as I designed the Fall collections for Adesso & Sorellina. The hues are reminiscent of days spent wandering through olive groves and enjoying amazing delicacies in the presence of beautiful art and architecture.
When we were contemplating where to photograph our Fall 2011 lookbook with Lisa Field-Elliot of Doorways Traveler, we could think of no better place than Demetria Estate Winery in our own “backyard” in Los Olivos, California. Walking around Demetria Estate amidst the olive trees, the gorgeous villa where the wine is produced and the rolling hills, one feels as if you are transported to the Tuscan hillside. We spent two glorious days up at Demetria, frolicking around while Lisa took photographs and we styled our latest collections on models Hillary Souza and Brandi Wolff. There is really no way to describe the scenery other than “not to be missed.” Demetria has now become a frequent weekend stop for the Adesso team when we want to take a drive, taste some delicious vino and get inspired.
